Stability:

PublicSafetyNet is an ASP hosted on multiple redundant servers, geographically dispersed, and housed in secure law enforcement facilities. All modules are developed to provide fault tolerance.

Hardware:

EGI maintains, upgrades, and replaces hardware as part of the service. Your agency needs only a desktop/laptop with a web browser, and a network connection to be fully functional. A redundant network connection is strongly recommended. Your agency can be spared the expense and grief of acquiring server hardware and support services to accommodate fat client public safety software.

Software:

PublicSafetyNet is usable on any platform with a modern web browser.

Ease of Use:

Since PublicSafetyNet is accessible through a web browser, training, and user adaptation are greatly accelerated.

Technology:

PublicSafetyNet heavily utilizes open standards and was developed using proven technologies. Interfacing with PSN is a breeze with XML/SOAP and if permissions are granted, you can directly access to the master SQL database (or a replicated query only database).
